Thinking of hiring a PR agency? You may as well hire Kerry Katona.

Thinking of hiring a PR agency? Then don't. PR agencies, without fail, are a waste of money.

Hiring a public relations agency to get you into the news is like hiring Kerry Katona to handle your tax affairs.

It's the wrong skill-set. She'll cost you an arm and a leg, nothing's gonna get done and the Revenue will almost certainly come knocking when she files your annual return.

You may think that I've gone doolally, that I'm doing down my own business and livelihood. But you're wrong. Nothing, my dear reader, could be further from the truth.

At Just In Time PR, we're not PRs at all. We are journalists masquerading as PRs. That's a big difference. One hell of a difference, in fact.

Indeed, we understand journalists and what they want because we have all been journalists for many years in the past.

Even Jonny doorstepped Julia Carling once when her hubby, the preppy guy with the chin, was (allegedly) being a naughty boy with a princess. He still talks about it to this very day. Clearly not much has happened in his life since.

Anyway, I digress. The long and the short of it is this. If you want to get your company into the media, if you want to increase your media profile, in short if you are thinking of hiring a pr agency, then don't, whatever you do, hire a goddam PR agency.

Instead, hire an agency that only employs ex-journalists. If you do that, you won't waste your money. And as it happens I know just the pr firm you might be looking for.... and they only charge if they get results, too!
