At first glance, it's easy to think that the #AskBenFogle hashtag backfired spectacularly this evening.

Actually, it didn't.




All he needs to do to turn this one around is tweet something like"I walked straight into that bastard, didn't I?" or "I'm a bit of a cock for not seeing that one coming, aren't I?" along with the offending hashtag and it would end beautifully.

In an instant, all the hate would turn into love, the trolls would metamorphose into apologists, and he'd be a hit on social, not the over-privileged adventuring twat that most people think he is.

But what will he do?

What will Ben's comms team recommend? Will they ignore it or just get in on the laugh? Because bollocks, that's all it is, a laugh.

Team Fogle have got a chance to turn this one around and use it to their advantage.
